OUR HISTORY
1940's
DyDo Group’s history began with a “use first, pay later” medicine business started by our founder as a personal venture in the mid-1940s. This business involved placing medicine boxes at households, having people use cold and stomach medicines as needed, then collecting payment for the used portion later. This can be seen as the prototype for the vending machine business, where machines are installed first, and then loaded with different products that customers can purchase at any time. As business grew, the founder incorporated the company, establishing DAIDO YAKUHIN K.K. in 1956, later entering the pharmaceutical manufacturing business. This is the predecessor of the current DAIDO Pharmaceutical Corporation (Pharmaceutical-Related Business).
1975
Along with the economic improvements in Japan in 1970s, the company started the sales of canned coffee together with energy drinks and made drink sales its secondary core working area.In parallel with the increase of the number of vending machines across the country then, DyDo DRINCO, INC. has taken the first step of the large network of vending machines that it currently has, and DAIDO K.K. which would later be renamed as DyDo DRINCO, INC. was founded in 1975.
2000
DyDo DRINCO, INC. continued its steady growth in the 2000s and became one of the leading companies in the vending machine market, which is very common in Japan. The company has made it its mission to deliver high-quality and delicious products to consumers with its wide product portfolio, which includes coffee, water, black, white, and green teas, sports drinks, soft drinks, and drinkable desserts, among many other products.
2016
With its steady growth, DyDo DRINCO, INC. has continuously advanced its potential. In the 2010s, the company focused on developing new business models and directed some of its investments outwards Japan. Following numerous ventures starting with China, DyDo DRINCO expanded into Türkiye in 2016.
2019
DyDo DRINCO Türkiye, known for its strong brands such as Saka, Cola Turka, Çamlıca, İçim, Link, Maltana, and Joozy, is expanding its operations by opening offices in the countries where it conducts export activities. Established in the UK within this scope in 2019, DyDo DRINCO UK Ltd is a sales company, 100% of which is owned by DyDo DRINCO Türkiye.
